Antioxidants and the fight against autism

Antioxidants, a molecule found in substances such as ascorbic acid, glutathione, and melatonin was told to avoid a number of serious diseases like cancer and heart disease. An antioxidant is a molecule capable of slowing or preventing oxidation of other molecules. However, it is not widely known is that antioxidants could also perhaps prevent autism. That's what researchers at the University of Arkansas request, according to their study in 2005. According to their breakthrough and a somewhat controversial study, the antioxidant levels of children with autism are significantly lower compared with children without autism.

This study seems somewhat insignificant when judging the value. After all, the same can be said about a number of diseases. However, the importance of antioxidants in the body and implications of this research-is an important step in the fight against autism. But first, what are antioxidants? Why is this important substance in the human body?

Antioxidants can prevent or prolong the process of oxidation of molecules of other substances that people take in. oxidation (Reaction or reduction-oxidation), on the other hand, is a reaction where the product of free radicals. These free radicals can damage some cells in the body, causing a number of diseases and ailments. The reduction-oxidation is inevitable, to say the least, given that some substances can produce free radicals. A number of studies have shown that these free radicals are present even in the very air in the atmosphere.

So what does this have to do with autism? Oxidants can cause brain damage, in fact, the brain is very vulnerable to oxidation damage. On the other hand, antioxidants are also responsible for removing toxins from the body. With the presence of oxidants, the organization will be unable to detoxify substances harmful heavy metals present in their bodies, another suspected cause of autism. Substances Heavy metals can be found in vaccines, so that children are already exposed to harmful chemicals from the beginning. This meant effect of vaccines is disputed by many medical experts, but some sectors claim vaccines play a role in the development of autism children.

Researchers at the University of Arkansas still believe that autism is a genetic disease. However, in a interview with Forbes.com, a researcher at the university said said that autism is caused by genetics, environmental triggers play a role in the genetic basis of disease. In addition, antioxidants also prevent free radical damage to the brain. Some studies several countries have already linked brain inflammation to autism, and this inflammation can be caused by oxidants. A strengthened immune system, Thank you for antioxidants may offer protection against brain injury.

Thus, many physicians across the country, antioxidants consider as one of the most valuable in the fight against the autism. A number of professionals, too, like those of the Research Institute Autism, encourage parents to give their autistic children with foods that are rich in antioxidants and supplements that prevent oxidation in the body.

Christmas gift for an autistic child?

I need to buy a Christmas gift for a child 4 years with autism. All ideas. Autism is estimated to scale 8, so he is unable to communicate with us. etc. Any ideas????

Children often have very specific things they are interested, why not ask her mom if she likes nothing specific, I worked with autistic childern who have been especially in Disney, Thomas the Tank Engine, balloons and tear the paper, ASA and often they like DVDs, and history-books are thingst hthat repearted and keep more of the same and more. Thomas the Tank Engine is popular with children with autism, and also useful, because they have faces, but there are expressions lesscomplex humans, therefore easier for children with autism to understand.

Should I tell my child that is autistic or should I suggest shes normel?

My Childs 8 years and havent I told her nothing about her being autistic. should I tell him at alll? When should I tell him? Im afraid the news can be overwhelmed, how do I do with the melt in tears when I destroy his confidence?? I have no idea what SO EVER HELP!

I think you should say so and explain to her what autism is and how it effects. Make sure to note that even if it is different, it is as good as anyone else and you still love him. Chances are just it knows already that she is different and it is unclear how or why. Know Autism and it is not the only might actually be a relief for her. If you do not tell yourself, it could find about it from someone else it would be really harmful. Also, if you wait too long it may be really angry against you to keep the secret from him. It has right to know. Keeping the secret of her would also make it more difficult to help deal with issues caused by autism.

Autism Baby Signs – signs that your baby is autistic

Autism Baby Signs

Several years ago, autism can be recognized in children as early as 18-24 months of age. But Today, after several studies and observations, we can now recognize the early signs of autism in babies. Signs include with an unusual eye contact, the peculiarities of the hearing, and social development and play.

The word "autism" is derived the Greek word "autos" meaning "self", and it affects the way children see others in relation to themselves. Therefore children autism may be best described as "having their own world." They want to play and be alone, will not be touched or kissed, and problems interacting with others.

Autism is a pervasive disorder that affects multiple areas of functioning. ASD affects children differently – In their cognitive ability, in their IQ in the development of communication skills in their relationships with others, even with their own parents, and many others.

Although there are still debates about the causes of autism, experts believe that children with autism benefit from treatment sooner, the better the outcome may be. Early intervention makes a huge difference in the fight against autism infants. Signs of autism should be carefully observed and seek help immediately if you place your child. Instead of play the waiting game and see, parents must be vigilant in observing their child's development. This will greatly improve the quality of life of children. Autism Baby Signs

Researchers and experts are now claiming that they can recognize autism at the age of six months or sooner in some cases. The good thing about this is that new and early treatment of autism can be developed and it can make a huge difference to the future child.

Here are the red flags of autism in babies – signs that your baby is autistic

Inhalation – Have a look unusual or making eye contact is a very common chant of autism in babies. Signs of neglect with other people and the environment can also be observed.

Hearing – babies with autism respond less when called compared to the normal development of babies. They are not affected by changes in the sound. Therefore, most Infants with autism are first suspected of being deaf.

Social Development and the game – the baby with autism may have a lack of interest in the game types that other children enjoy, even those that involve social interaction with parents.

Because that these early signs can vary in severity and symptoms, they may go unnoticed. Therefore, parents must be careful in observing the behavior of autism in babies. Signs of autism may also be a sign of further unrest.

In addition, according to research, a child who has a brother or sister with autism is more likely to be autistic as well. Parents may notice that the physical development of their child is different
other. Having a larger than normal head circumference is said to be an indication of autism in babies. What course should I take now? Please help!?

I am qualified as a high school teacher of French and German. I completed my training last year and recently got a job part-time temporary (maternity leave) in a school in a very rough, which comes to special measures. I never took the job – I had doubts about it to start, but the reality of the job was beyond my fears. The children had no respect. I was insulted, attacked, and could not control the class. After three weeks, I was so bad I had to stress to the hand in my notice and quit. Was a terrible experience, but I think I destroyed my career in teaching because of it. After all, who trust me enough led me into another school knowing that I leave it? So now I am left not knowing what to do. I'm 31. I have progressive kidney disease which will put me on dialysis for some time in the next 15 years, and a son with autism. I need a job very relaxed, but how do I change careers now?

Helly! Do not give up now, you've got a lot in your career, treat as the experience and move to a better school in a better area, tell them about your experience, they understand, all teachers have been there at one time or another, thats life. Go ahead, you are talking about his life. Helly Good luck!
