Symptoms Of Autism In 4 Year Olds

resources of about ABA (applied behavior analysis) or the teaching of children with autism?
I have a 3 year old boy that I suspect he might have a slight autism, PDD-NOS or Asperger syndrome. He was 3-4 or 5 word sentence (just turned Last 3 months) but it has some strange behavior and sometimes it is difficult to teach, he loves to do everything by itself, but if I reward him with M & M, it is more motivated. I'm still waiting for an assessment. The result of early intervention is average or above everything except social and he is extremely shy. He has a good eye contact and is very affectionate with me and his brothers and sisters, but he never said "I love you "yet. I do not know if these are symptoms of autism, but I want to do everything I can to help my little boy. I want some ABA or information about how to teach children with autism.
I suggest going to the Autism Society of America, they have tons of information Learning treatment approaches such as ABA, social histories, etc., info on food and biomedical approaches such as vitamins, GFCF diets, etc., and complementary approaches such as music, art or treatment of animals. You may want to consider all treatments available, which can work with a person with autism may not always work with another, even if their characteristics are the same. They also have information charcateristics on autism, Asperger syndrome, PDD-NOS, and other pervasive developmental disorders .. They also have information on other disorders that have similar characteristics of autism. They also have a search engine autism, you can use to find resources in your community. A local can be an ideal place for resources and support among other things. You may also consider reading these books by Ellen Notbohm: (excerpt from book below) 1001 Great Ideas for Teaching and raising children with autism spectrum disorders; Ten things every child with Autism Wishes You Knew and Ten things your student with Autism Wishes You Knew. I highly suggest the last 2 books on the list they give you a perspective from their point of view, as when one speaks for them: for example. Idioms, puns, nuances, double meanings, inference, metaphors, allusions and sarcasm can all be confused, and receptive and expressive vocabulary can be major challenges for them. While it is recognized that a form of autism, I would contact your local school board for an evaluation of both special ed. / Related Services, which is free to you. They must assess the all aspects of his suspected disability as if he needs speech therapy or occupational therapy, among others. This way, it can also start pre-K at the age of 3 receive early intervention services. You want you're familiar with IDEA and IEP (education Disability Act and Individualized Education Plan). Childs IDEA protects your rights to receive a free and appropriate public eduaction (FAPE) and an IEP is used for anyone who receives special ed and / or related services such as therapy. It is a legal document that describes how that your child will be educated to meet their specific needs. Look also at a local center for autism and other diseases (CARD – is ours with a local university). If your son is to have autism or related disorders, they can be a great place for resources. You do not put it in their database and you must attend an initial orientation. They will come to your house, without charge, and work with any person living in your home or one who can watch all kind of teaching useful techniques. They also offer a wide range of courses training such as issues of food, potty training, basic behaviorial, IDEA and IEP, etc. The classes are offered, and, once in a great while, they may have a special category that you may have to pay for, but which is far and few between. You can use the search engine to the Company of autism to find a map of the local center. If I can be more help please contact me via my profile – good luck.
