Answer if you know a lot about autism (read description)?

I'm doing a report on autism and need to know the following: 1. What is autism? 2. How serious is it? 3. What are the symptoms? 4. What are the treatments? 5. How is it transmitted? Or .. What kind of pathagon is the cause? 6. Short-term and long term? 7. Prevention methods appropriate? THANKS SOOO MUCH!

I an autistic brother. He can not talk or communicate. Its first symptoms are like a baby, he would not smile when smiled at him. He avoided eye contact and did not have to be held. It has not been much in the mode of treatment. He went to Special Ed for 13 years. Nobody knows for sure what done. He can not live alone, drive a car, read, write, or who have a job. It comprises only about 20 words. Since no one knows with certainty the causes of autism, there are few methods of prevention. It was suspected a link between the use of prenatal ultrasound and rise in autism cases. Search the web for ultrasound and autism.
