Careers Involving children with special needs?
Hi, The other week I attended a workshop of autism a typical day of training. So there I was watching a video of an autistic child with a one-to-one in his own house. The one-to-one helps children their discourse and everyday tasks. I wondered what a job as it is called, as I was more interested in working privatley then in a school? Thank you very much
A very good choice of career growth would become a consultant RDI. http://www.rdiconnect.com/RDI/professionals.asp RDI consultants work directly with families and their children. They guide parents in helping their children. RDI consultants are always difficult to find, so the demand for your services is very high. If you could vendored with a regional center of another type of delivery system of social services, you should be guaranteed more work than you could do. Another solution would be as a therapist ABA, which is probably what you saw. http://www.abatherapists.com/ ABA therapists to work more directly with the child.
