Autism Tee

Does anyone know their disorder, but others around you ignorant to deny that you have?
For me, it's like. I had the key features from childhood to a T-shirt. The only people I call friends, those of the mind, like, interest and intelligence .. a diagnosis of autism or AS. (. XD I find funny because I had no idea seriously until Recently ….@') It angers me that once I find an answer to the logic of behavior, I can not control the behavior and I remember that I am quite aware of my performance and hinders social and academic failure system will look into it, despite the quantity of bravery that I had to dig to defend itself. What is a big problem since I'm going to college and they need to know these things. .. So what Your Story?
Self advocating what they teach to children (hopefully) to school when they are dealing with learning disabilities of any type. My daughter was diagnosed with ADD in grade 12. All her teachers expected her to already know self-advocate. It was really hard on her just because they saw it as another child who had been ADD learning these skills for years and I forgot the fact that she had been diagnosed and do not possess these skills. It was really hard. It is the first year of college. I was very impressed with disabilities, however the University coordinator. They have made adjustments where necessary for her to help him succeed. Then look in your college programs disabled before choosing where you watch it might help. Personally I have another question a lot. I have a brain injury. And like other types of disabilities, it is invisible. So people from outside wait until you're normal. They can not see the flaws you have to deal with inside. I had to learn to speak for me so I can get help with the ADA stores turn off their music so I can buy food and all sorts of things related. It's no fun having to call and talk to managers and say: 'Hi … I have a hearing impairment caused by injury brain that is covered by the ADA and I ask a reasonable accommodation that you turn off your music so that I can shop. "Some managers do know nothing of the law and I ended up having to wait in the car to talk to HR managers of companies who do not know the rules under the Agreement AD so that they can explain it to store managers and settle things. I find it hard because I want to be normal. I do not want to explain my problems to everyone I meet and say I'm different, disabled, unusual, non-functional and all the other things he can make you feel sometimes. But if I have no self-advocate, nobody else will do it for me. So, even if self-representation is not funny, you should continue to do throughout your life. I have a friend who was a school psychologist who has helped many people with AS. It suffered a head injury and wrote a book about his experiences before and after. This is the only window that I have on the challenges you have with AS. I understand that you have to work hard to learn to deal with or recognize emotions and respond appropriately. With my injury I suffered brain damage in the section of the brain that manages your emotions. For several years, my behavior was not socially acceptable many times and places. If you have at least made some progress in determining what you are dealing. Now comes the hardest part – Works really do what you can to improve, if you can improve. If you are able to do so, it will help you throughout your life. PS Best wishes to you (My long Company refuses term disability definitely have a problem!)
