Positive reinforcement is the method of providing an individual with something that will increase the likelihood of the conduct to occur again. Some think it's as simple as a reward, but what can be a rewarding, may be rewarding to the other.
An example of this strategy intervention in autism is that the child may be given a sweet to say, "Hi" to another person. If the child likes candy, he / she can begin to say "hello" more often if the child does not like candy, the probability the child more than the behavior is unlikely.
