Autism Separation Anxiety
Language delay in a child of three years. Help Needed Please?
My boyfriend is the son of three years. It has been tested for autism, but they say he did not. It does not repetitive behaviors. He has severe separation anxiety and often looks as if was in a trance. He closes his eyes and cheek while shaking his head. He does not speak. He will say one or three words at random, but that's not voluntarily to do so. It was like 3 times in a month. It is often frustrated and yells. He babbles like a month 12 years. Any suggestions on what might be wrong??? Her mother took drugs against HIV during pregnancy is surprising. I'm not sure one in particular. He lives with me and the father of her full-time. His mother lives four hours away.
I am a student who has been tested for autism twice before he was diagnosed. I not know what else he could have, since I am much more often with older children who have different symptoms, but I think you need keep coming back to the doctor and ask for more tests. He clearly a kind of disorder. The earlier you diagnose, the sooner you can get him the help needed. Good luck!
