Questions about autism?

Pk then when I was 3, I was diagnosed with autism. I'm fine now that (I function normally and I am in advanced classes at my middle school), but my mother told me a strange story. It said that we went to a psychiatrist for an assessment person when I was 4 or 5, and she told me that I answered some questions from psychiatrist in sign language but I could not know sign language when I could just learn English! how is this possible?? PS mother is not a liar at all, so I know she told the truth.

a lot of children who can not understand a language may be one on which they can better understand. that could be what happened in your case
