Three interesting facts about ADHD Insights For Parents
Do you know what a "smart" drugs is it? It is one of ADHD drugs, like Ritalin or Adderall, now used by more and more university students to pass examinations and to assist in the sessions study. Their days can last up to 36 hours! In a poll organized by the magazine Nature, they found that up 20% of the 1,400 respondents had taken one of these "smart" drugs. In the U.S., researchers at the University of Michigan found up to 8% had used these drugs to pass their exams but that figure could actually be about 15%, I think.
In addition to being one of three interesting facts that I want to emphasize in this article, the scary thing about all this is that nobody has taken worth a lot about the long-term effects or risks associated with these drugs. Sometimes there may be a reaction to a medical condition pre-existing that could be fatal. The most worrisome, in my view is that these so-called mixed amphetamine salts are given drugs for ADHD children whose brains are developing and nobody seems to care about long-term effects and risks? But parents seeking advice are turning ADHD more and more homeopathic remedies, because they want their children to grow into healthy and balanced rather than drugged zombies !
Apart from the frightening prospect of ethics that all so-called young talent in our society will be attached to amphetamine salts, there is another aspect to consider and that is the side effects these drugs produce. This simply is not another interesting facts about ADHD, but should be alert to reduce the use of these drugs by children. Consider the effects they may have on college students. Students complained of some side effects alarming. Apart from drastically interfere with their body clocks at a point where they stopped eating, drinking or sleeping, they also complained about an increase in compulsive actions. Students felt it had to do 10 albums of photos on Facebook in one evening! Side effects in children who are on these psychostimulants are not less alarming. They range from weight loss, insomnia, heart problems in growth retardation, irritability and loss of appetite.

Whatever the cause of ADHD may be, the fact remains that parents must find an alternative to psychotropic such as Ritalin and Adderall.
