Signs and symptoms of autism, the causes of autism

Most doctors are convinced the causes of autism are genetic and are located in the brain only, because many tests have been performed on people with autism and their bodies are identical to bodies of normal people, then everything that has to do with this condition is in the brain.
The studies themselves are controversial, however. The fact that one study showed 100% concordance in monozygotic twins suggests that there may other factors involved in the cause of autism. Other family studies have noted common characteristics – for example, that autism is more common in families of physicists and engineers. This observation led to the term "geek syndrome" to identify autism.
