Why not printed in the United States about Asperger's until 1990?

Hans Asperger was a pioneer in autism and Asperger syndrome in the 1940s.None of his work has been published or discussed until 1990 in the USA.Why?

It was defined for the first time (as "autistic psychopathy") in 1944 in what was part of Germany during the Second World War (Austria) and there was some controversy during the Nazi regime is rejecting people with Asperger syndrome with all the other "social deviants" who killed him. "His article was published during wartime and in German, so it was not read elsewhere."
