Leon Borenzstein daughter, Sharon?

I came across an old magazine article that had a photo bw / Borenzstein that Leon had made his daughter, Sharon, from birth to late elementary grades. Mag was published in 1997. Sharon had multiple disabilities, including visual impairment, autism possible and cognitive delays. I wondered what had happened to him – if she was still alive, etc. Can not find anything online regarding family Mr. Borenzstein or life, other than he lives in Oakland, CA. Someone knows what happened to Sharon?
