Autism And Thimerosal
Vaccinations and autism link at a time when I thought they were safe and sound?
I read it in the newspaper today. They claimed that autism was caused thimerosal in vaccines and I won the case. http://www.ajc.com/health/content/health/stories/2008/03/06/autism_0306.html Also, I thought that thimerosal was no longer used in vaccines? What do you think of this article? Does it change your perspective on safety immunizations? Or confirm your beliefs? I do not know what to think. You can pay for vaccinations without preservatives? I've never heard it, but I will certainly ask my. dr about it. My child is vaccinated, but I must say that the schools say they require vaccinations, but you can fill forms that say they are against your beliefs and they can not make your child get the shots.
Thimerosal is no longer used as a preservative in new batches of vaccines, but there are still tons of waste containing thimerosal in batches use.It is also used as a sterilizer, in both old and new. I am pleased that the medical industry is finally admitting that there is a link. (Not a question … but metals may trigger or aggravate the symptoms) I also noticed that now on immunization information you hand it to pediatricians now says thimerosal sensitive individuals should not receive the shots. Always sad to see that many parents do not know if their child is "thimerasol sensitive" after fact. We hope that with more funding and research that does not happen in the future. I'm glad this finally came out because I'm so tired of people saying "no link no link" as a parrot.
