Adult With Autism

How can you tell if an adult is autism?

My husband was diagnosed with chronic urticaria Angie-o-Adeem (spelling sorry) basically its mast r break, and he is allergic to a lot of things, including his system, his mother said he was classified as a slow "child" has not uttered a word until he was 3 …. Now I'm adding things here .. . and this I see is a form of autism …. what do u think?

It is very difficult to explain in a short answer to what autism, because it is unique to each person. I disagree that all autism is caused by toxins and vaccines. I know there is a class of Autism caused by the damage caused by toxins, but this is not the case with my son. BTW, good nutrition will make a person feel better, autistic or not. My son with high functioning autism or Asperger syndrome and it is obvious that it is genetic. He acts like my husband, my BIL and FIL, my brother, husband and father. The only difference is that my FIL and BIL have worsening symptoms that my husband and son. Also, my son started talking quite young and has never lost the capacity to speak. It is obvious that his condition was present from birth, before it was ever presented to dairy or gluten or toxins. It was about optimal feeding of nearly 100 percent organic foods, dairy free, wheat free, without sugar, and something was still wrong. There are a lot of information out there about autism. I think the best way to understand without seeing a doctor would read a book on autism spectrum disorders, perhaps specifically at adults. My husband and his brother were both considered slow when they were children. It is a label that has been used at that time because people had no other way to explain, not they may not have been really slow. They both received the speech and still have problems with the misunderstandings in conversations and have trouble getting their point across. Here's an excellent article that I recently found an adult with autism or Asperger syndrome http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/03/28/autism.essay/index.html Good luck! If anything, I hope your husband can begin to feel better. I know with my husband and son, be patient becomes our way home upside down, because they have difficulty expressing themselves. Ps not trying to open a debate here autism. just to let you know that there are many different opinions out there about autism.
